Have you ever looked at plain jacket and wished that there was something more to it, that made it more you? I know right now the season calls for that classic denim jean jacket or white jean jacket, with spring transitional pieces to pair with–we want to find something to wear in the evening to keep us warm without wearing a hoodie. JEAN JACKET TO THE RESCUE!!!
I took the opportunity to really find some creative fun in working with a little girls jean jacket, the enamel pins, patches, the works. Pulled out the cricut machine to use my iron-on and even holographic material!
I found these beauties at Marshalls, perfect for the theme I wanted for the jacket. Unfortunately the patches weren’t iron-on, so I had to purchase from Amazon the “Iron-On Adhesive” to help apply the patch to the jacket permanently.
NOW the best discovery piece I personally just found are these amazing iron-on jewels, I found this material from Joanns. The only tricky part about this material is you need to hold the press down long enough for the adhesive to adhere to the material. I had to allow the material to cool-down several times to see if the material took- but once its on there, you are good!!
Ta-DA! Its done!! I wanted to go with a moto jacket feel, with a hint of “Justice” but with some flair.
I had so much fun making this birthday present, here’s to always keeping things fun, always staying inspire.
After doing this jacket, I decided to work on my own, WITH FELT! STAY TUNE!
