A group of my closest friends and family decided to do the RiSE Festival in Las Vegas. We purchased the tickets really expecting just to be in awe of the twinkling lights in the sky. Little did we (I) know that coming to this festival would mean so much more then lighting a lantern but mentally prepare me for what would come next month (hopefully one day I’ll be able to share but just not right now).
I will be coming back for next years festival, with more family and friends. Coming to this event puts everything in perspective when you look up and realize how you are truly not alone, how everyone is there for a reason. Thank you RiSE for an incredible night, thank you for creating an environment of togetherness and vulnerability. I especially want to thank my husband for allowing me to have this day to experience what I needed and come home feeling ready to face what’s to come next.
