Fresh + Delicious | Gado Gado

Gado Gado, odd dish right? You first hear it and wonder what exactly is it? What in it? How do you make it? I always remember this exact dish made in every gathering my family had. One of those statement corner dishes that always had its presences. As I’ve grown older, the appreciation to wanting to learn more about grownup dishes has taken me back to the kitchen to ask how they are made. Before we dive into the dish, a little about where exactly its originated.

Gado gado originated from the island of Java, one of the larger of the 13,466 islands that make up the Indonesian archipelago. This dish originates from the kitchens of the Sundanese people who mostly occupy the western half of the island.
