Months ago this beautiful style-shoot was curated. It’s definitely past the 4th of July and I had all the intention of posting and sharing this beautiful layout, but never got the time to do it. So here I am now, sharing! 🙂
My style-shoot was inspired by these beautiful old library books I purchased a few months ago. The distress of the hardcover bound books, discolored pages, with classic sketchings you remember picking up as a child at elementary school sparked this color palette. I stayed with darker richer tones (like maroon and navy), having gold and white carry the accent color to elevate the entire display.

Not wanting to bring too much attention to harsh elements, I used natural wood chargers to give a sense of warmth to the plates, so I decided to go with a classic white dish.

The beautiful centerpieces for the tablescape was kept super simple and classic, I used white garden roses, alstromererias, with some hydrangeas. My base vase was gold metal, choosing a low profile vase, I did not want to pull attention to the shine of the vase and more to the flowers. It was a great mix yet perfect accent to the table.

This porch picnic is something I found different from the classic, typical and vibrant red, white and blue. What truly gives it a fun and exciting but playful element is the desserts. @chocolateandsugarartisian executed that element by creating an upside down ice cream pop and cakiscle, that compliment the marble swirl chocolate covered strawberries. How beautiful are they?!!?

Thank you for letting me dissect this style-shoot for you. I hope this inspires you as always to step outside the box and get creative.
